1st Surgery

Aaron & Abby @ Home - she was concerned about her brother.
All ready to go home!!

Aaron had his appendix removed on Friday evening at St. Joseph's. Darin and I spent the weekend with him at the hospital. I was scheduled to make tamales with my family and friends on Saturday morning. At first I thought I should stay with him in the hospital, but Darin insisted I make tamales. Hmmmm ... was he concerned for me or his stomach.:) Either way I did make the tamales and it was a nice break from the hospital. Aaron recovered nicely and was released today. We are home again as a family and it is wonderful. This experience again had allowed me to remember what a blessing children really are and to cherish every day with them.

Four weeks later

Well my plan to update this weekly went out the window when our computer broke. A lot has happened and in an effort not to bore you I will just list them as bullet points.

  • My in-laws had their birthdays so we went to Disneyland two Friday nights in a row with all the kids. We had a blast

  • We celebrated Isabella's 7th birthday. We will be going to Los Angeles on Nov. 1st to see High School Musical 3 at the El Captain Theater.

  • My cousin Stacy got married and we had a awesome time at the wedding and after party (Thanks Montoya's for letting us stay the night!!)

  • I got a second job at 300 Anaheim, a upscale bowling alley in the new Anaheim Garden Walk.

Just a doing the normal family thing. Hope all is well with everyone and take care!!

Normal Day

Tuesday began like any other day, up at 6 am, shower, wake kids up, get dressed, make lunches, make breakfast, rush to get everyone in the car, get Abby to day care by 7:15 am, drop off kids at school and off to work arriving by 8:30 am. Work all day, quick lunch and a trip to Wal Mart to pick up diapers. Return to work, leave around 5:45, sit in traffic, talk to family and friends, eat dinner at my in-laws, clean all the dishes, get home for baths and any remaining homework, brush teeth and tuck the little ones into bed. Finally try and have an adult conversation with my husband before one of us heads off to sleep while the other is still talking. Wow I am tired just thinking about it. Here is a quick picture of the kids last month!!

1st day of school

I am now officially a mother of a second grader, pre-kindergartner and a toddler. Isabella started second grade this week at a new school and is loving it. I think I was more nervous then she was. Aaron is at the same school in pre-k and loving every minute. Abby is still at Becky's our day care provider and we love her, and they love Abby. Life goes so fast, I continually try to remember and appreciate each day because before I know it I will be writing about someone graduating.

Chicken Pox

It's Friday morning and Isabella's rash/bites are still bothering her, started on Tuesday. I take her to the Dr.'s this morning and yes, she has a mild case of chicken pox. YIKES, who has she been around for the last week, who hasn't had their vaccine. I call the school and no one else has reported chicken pox. So now were home, I am on the Internet looking up all the info, how contagious: VERY CONTAGIOUS. Wondering will the other kids get it?? They both have had their vaccines, but so did Isabella. O' the joys of Motherhood. Overall Isabella is fine she only has about 10 breakouts. So the Dr. said she should fine by Monday and return to school since it broke out on Tuesday and should only last 5-7 days since it is a very mild case. So we will be home this weekend, not doing much.
