This week in an effort to keep the kids occupied with something new we tried sidewalk paint. The girls had a blast and the boys did it for about 10 min and then wanted to ride scooters.

Flashback & Flash-forward Friday
Heads up - I have a whole lot of thoughts below with no real rhyme or reason, but I have come to accept that's who I am how I blog.. thoughts here, thoughts there, thoughts everywhere but with a whole lot of love!!
Flashback Friday - This family photo was taken in June 2006. If someone would have asked me then, where I would be in three years, I probably would have said working at Shea, having another baby ( i was pregnant at the time) and spending time with family and friends. Well I am no longer working at Shea but I was blessed with another child, Abby. Why didn't I have big dreams back then? I know... we were always struggling to make ends meet and I never wrote my dreams down, they were always in my head. I was working two jobs and Darin was working three. With my recent lay off I have come to a new realization: I had dreams, but never did anything to accomplish them. I was always too busy, too broke, too tired.
I will never say those words again. I have one life to share with my husband and family and I am going to make a difference everyday.

Flash-forward Friday - Three Years: July 2012 - I will be where god takes us... but with a whole lot more energy invested in how we get there. I will be more involved, I will be more motivated, I will make a difference and I will have fun while doing it!!!
Where will you be in three years??? Where do you want to be??? My only helpful hint is write it down and share it with someone who will hold you accountable.

Smiles & Laughter
SMILES - We took the kids to Disneyland yesterday and they were all smiles. The evening was wonderful and kept a grin on my face all night, but not because of the fireworks, but because of how happy it made my kids. Their happiness is truly all I could ask for.
True Smiles
"Cheese" smiles for the camera, but they did have a great time!!
LAUGHTER - We like to try different parks each week and I am always surprised as to what each of the kids choose to do. Sometimes it is the individual swings, the slides, scooters or the monkey bars. Today it was the tire swing and the laughter that echoed from the park made my eyes water. I find myself always telling them to be quite, but today I made a promise to myself to allow a little more happy noise around the house. May you appreciate every day and continue to laugh. It does make a difference!!

Climber
Abby Lynn is our third and final child. I never had to baby proof the house with the other two kids, but Abby is another story. Pictures below explain why:

Just a great day...doing nothing special
We ventured to a new park yesterday, the big kids rode their scooters and Abby just ran behind them. The story of her life, always chasing the big kids and trying to do what they do. I was able to snap a few cute photos and just thought to share. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Happy 4th of July

Success comes in all forms
Since my last post was about failing, I wanted my next post to be about something I succeed at. Darin and I have some new goals for this year and one of them is getting more organized. For us to accomplish that we needed a new place to work. We ordered a desk on-line from Office Max and assumed it would arrive put together. Well it arrived yesterday in a box that weighed 212 lbs and Darin was at work. Hmmm... now what. The delivery driver left it on my porch and since I could not move it, I had the kids help me open it outside and slowly transfer all the pieces inside. I started the assembly around 1pm and finished around 9pm. It did not take me 8 hours total but with three kids you have to take breaks every 30 min to get them a snack, put on a movie, make dinner and all the other great things that come with being a mom. So all in all it is done and I had fun doing it. I hope everyone who reads this remembers, although we may have days that are not as successful as we would like...better days will come.
