Day Sixteen

So I thought for sure that since I was home, I would be able to post the daily fun. Boy was I wrong. I posted more when I worked all day.

I always knew being a stay at home mom was more work, but for someone who had a corporate routine for eight years, switching to this new one is hard, but I welcome the challenge. I am going on field trips, volunteering at the Strawberry festival, helping family and friends with day care when in a jam, researching grants for my kids preschool and just being where I am needed for those I care about. It is pretty great and I am loving it.

So to end before Abby wakes up from her nap, I pick up Isabella at 3pm, take the kids to soccer signs ups at 6pm and have friends over at 7:30pm, I just wanted to say I am doing really great, my life took a turn I was not expecting, but all my kids are healthy, we have roof over our heads and food on the table. I am so blessed!!

Day One

Officially OC Statistic - Darin and I are both unemployed. We never saw that coming. For the past 6 months I knew it was a possibility, but thought I could make it through. I was wrong.

I believe everyone has a choice and in November 2007, I made the choice to leave apartment marketing and enter the world of non-profit construction. Two words today, that definitely mean -lack of opportunity. I do not regret my decision. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. I believe things happen for a reason and although I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel, I know I will see it soon. Thank you to all my friends at Shea who have shaped me into the professional I am today. I will never forget any of you and the contributions you have made towards my success.

So if anyone knows of any opportunities in marketing, construction operations, non-profit, administration.. I am ready for my next adventure. THANKS!!

Sunday Funday

So it was super hot today in Garden Grove and we went to my in-laws for some fun pool action. The kids love to swim and we spend most of our summer here. Here are a few quick pics.

Flashback Friday

Nothing to special this week, just a cute old picture of Isabella and I at a friends birthday celebration. Isabella had just turned two. The ladies in this picture are my sorority sisters from college. Although I do not see many of them any more, they are a great bunch of ladies and I miss them. Big Hugs to all my tri-delta girls!!

PS I think Abby is going to grow up looking just like Isabella. Look how similar they look at 2.

Pink Saturday

Girls day 101. We painted our toes today, and although not much was left on Abby's toes by the end of the day. We had a great time doing it.

Flashback Friday

Happy Friday - Today was not only Good Friday, but a Great Friday. I took the day off work and spent some time with Abby and Isabella. Aaron went fishing with Daddy, Papa and cousin Mason.

Reviewing the pictures below are so sweet and it reminds me to appreciate every stage because next thing I know I will be posting pictures of today on Flashback Friday's and wondering where the time went!!

3 Hours

So I just spent the last three hours trying to be so creative and design a new background for our blog. Our family is at the baseball park 5 of 7 days a week right now and I wanted to reflect our new interests on our blog. Well as you can see I do not have a baseball themed blog. and I am so MAD at myself for not figuring it out, but it is 10:45 pm and I have to get up in 6 hours. Sad to say I am giving up for today and for those of you who know me, it is killing me to walk away without figuring it out.!! So we will see how tomorrow goes.
